Prosci® researches has more or less set the global standard for change management. Among other things, they have developed the recognized ADKAR® model. This model builds on the following key elements:
- Awareness of the need to change
- Desire to participate and support the change
- Knowledge of how to change (and what the change looks like)
- Ability to implement the change on a day-to-day basis
- Reinforcement to keep the change in place
I have used this model with success on many occasions and know it has a proven track record.
